Action Steps for the Next Phase of Your Business or Career

Updated: Jul 12

I saw this post in my network today. Have you ever felt like this?

"I'm looking for someone who can help me narrow down my areas of focus. Do you know someone who can listen to my life experiences, work experience, what I enjoy, what I'm passionate about, and give business ideas or suggestions? I have so many interests and ideas that a fresh perspective or an outside point of view I may not have thought of before would be refreshing."

Now, more than ever, is a great time to think about the big picture and your personal brand. If you are thinking about making a career move or finding something that gives you a greater sense of purpose (like launching that side hustle!), here are some quick action steps:

  1. Write your mission statement. What do you want out of life?

  2. If you are not keeping a daily journal of your work, NOW IS THE TIME TO START.

  3. Write down what you would do if money were no object.

  4. Write down what you absolutely hate about what you do.

  5. Look at the descriptions for jobs that sound interesting. Do you have the skills necessary? If not, how can you get there?

  6. If you are launching a business or working on a passion project, what would success look like in 90 days? What can you achieve in the next 30 days that will move you closer to that?

Don't write from a place of perfection or feasibility at first. Just get all those big beautiful ideas out of your head. The more you dive in, the more you will start to see patterns and fresh ways of looking at things.

No matter how you choose to move forward, this is an exciting time for you! You will likely uncover some hidden talents and new ways of bringing joy. And that is the best part.

Do you need help identifying and clearing obstacles in life and business to achieve next-level success?
